Increase your squeegee IQ
Squeegees are a wash-down workhorse and a mainstay for keeping your facility clean and dry. If your squeegee is heavy, ineffective at moving water, or made of wood and screws, you're likely experiencing frustration and are at-risk of non-compliance with food safety regulations. Our hygienic, durable and lightweight squeegees are ideal for wash-down in food & beverage production. They are built to last under harsh conditions of chemicals and high temps, and economical due to the replaceable blades/components. You won't get the bending, splintering or chemical finishes like you can get with wooden handles. Our double blade, single blade and foam squeegees come in a wide selection of blade widths and handles lengths/materials to suit your specific application. Plus, they are color-coded to form a strong foundation for GMPs/FSMA purposes and any HACCP or food safety program. Let's take a look at our squeegees:
These squeegees offer maximum efficiency with the highest level of hygiene. The double-bladed, non-porous rubber design is effective in removing water from all types of floors; tiles, epoxy, and cement. Specially blended rubber blades are both flexible and durable. The double splash guard design is purpose-built for push or pull applications, and they also feature a molded reverse edge scraper. Chemical and corrosion resistant, they are very effective and efficient in large food production facilities on walk ways and expansive areas. The cartridge system blades can be removed by hand for easy cleaning and replaced when worn out, making this model a very economical hygienic option. Available in multiple colors for HACCP food safety programs, these squeegees come in various widths and handle lengths/types, and have working temperatures up to 250°F. Shop here.
- Color-Coded, FDA-Compliant Single Blade Squeegees
These one-piece, single-blade squeegees have an ultra-hygienic design that minimizes areas for water and food soils to collect. The seamless, one-piece construction is especially effective in areas requiring the highest level of hygiene and makes it extremely easy to clean and sanitize. The soft and flexible rubber blade is ideal for removing water or food debris from floors and food contact surfaces, and is chemical and corrosion resistant. Available in multiple colors for HACCP food safety programs, these squeegees come in various widths and handle lengths/types, and have working temperatures up to 250°F. Shop here.
- Color-Coded, FDA-Compliant & Floor/Drain Use Only Double Foam Squeegees
We offer two main types of double foam squeegees. Our FDA-compliant option features white neoprene foam rubber blades and our Floor/Drain Use Only option has black closed-cell foam blades. Both are extremely effective at cleaning all types of floors, especially uneven. The foam reaches into and cleans all spaces, such as grouting between tiles and concrete. A swivel neck option allows flexibility and superior mobility in tight and difficult-to-reach spaces. The cartridge system blades can be removed by hand for easy cleaning and replaced when worn out, making these models a very economical choice. Available in multiple colors for HACCP food safety programs, these squeegees come in various widths and handle lengths/types, and have working temperatures up to 199°F. Shop here.
Providing
a tough and economical solution to chemical clean-up problems, these squeegees
are made of chemically resistant polyethylene. An
Acme-threaded black double foam squeegee is also available, in addition to an FDA-compliant foam ceiling squeegee.
Retail squeegees don’t stack up
All squeegees are not created equally. Opting for lower cost, non-hygienic products is hard on your back and even harder on your budget long-term. The biggest complaints that we hear are:
- The stiff rubber blade stutters on floors and does not move water efficiently
- You can only pull the squeegee (not bi-directional)
- The metal screws corrode and break off
- They don't last more than a few weeks
The bottom line is retail squeegees are not designed for long-term use and hygienic environments. Wooden handles pose serious additional risks: splintering, holding bacteria when not sealed/laminated, and are often being sealed with laminates containing chemicals considered dangerous by California’s Proposition 65 law.
Below is a summary comparison of our top-selling, FDA-compliant squeegee with a common retail squeegee:
Love this tool! -- 5 Stars
Keeps floors in the winery clean and dry. The head is one solid piece. Easy to keep clean and sanitary. Appears to be very durable. Thanks for the quality product!
Best squeegee I’ve ever used! – 5 Stars
I've gone through a bunch of those squeegees with the wooden handles and they are awful. They are heavy and the blade is so stiff it stutters across the floor. They just don't move the water. With your squeegee I feel like SuperMan – it is so light and effective I'm using one hand and the water is gone in one sweep!
Great squeegee! – 5 Stars
Squeegee works great and does an awesome job on our textured epoxy brewery floor. Ended up purchasing an additional one so multiple people could get on the action of cleaning our floors.
